Acupuncture awakens the body's quiet strength, guiding healing and restoring balance.
Acupuncture
How it Works
Acupuncture stimulates the nervous system and triggers the release of endorphins, the body's natural painkillers. The insertion of needles at specific points on the body can also stimulate the release of neurotransmitters and hormones, which can help reduce pain, inflammation, and promote relaxation.
It is commonly used to treat:
Allergies
Menstrual Irregularities
Digestive Issues
Anxiety
Depression
Arthritis
Headaches
Pain
Stress
Insomnia
Nausea
How Many Treatments Are Needed
Think of acupuncture like working out.
Just as a one-time visit to the gym can leave you feeling good, tired, or sore. A single acupuncture session can also produce noticeable effects. However, much like how regular gym-goers reap long-term benefits through consistent exercise, the true advantages of acupuncture come from regular visits.
If you can only attend one acupuncture session, you should not skip it. The experience can provide relief or a sense of wellbeing, but to maximize and obtain lasting results, establishing a habit is key.
For new acupuncture patients, I typically recommend scheduling visits once a week for 4 to 6 weeks. This gives us time to see how you respond to treatments. As treatment progresses, we can begin to space out appointments to discover how infrequently you can visit while still enjoying the benefits.

About Our Acupuncturist | Rachel Gilman, LAc
My goal is to create a space where you don’t have to change everything about yourself in order to be seen, heard, and accepted. A place where you are certain you will leave feeling better than when you arrived.
I will meet you where you’re at. As you are. There are so many different styles of acupuncture out there, and I’m here to help you find the one that works best for you. We’ve all spent hundreds of dollars trying new providers, only to discover they weren't a great fit. For this reason, I offer initial visits at the same rate as return visits. I want you to experience my treatment style (or acupuncture for the first time!) and ensure it resonates with you.
After ten years of practice, I am setting out to do things a little differently in the acupuncture space. I aim to create an option for people like myself who value simplicity, accessibility, and a lighthearted approach to wellness.
I believe that knowing exactly where to turn when you need mental and physical rest profoundly impacts your quality of life. This awareness can help you build strength and connection that supports you during the darker or more challenging times life inevitably presents.
